1. Registration of organizations, delegates and
self-managed events; Observers
Registration of organizations and delegates
Civil society organizations, movements and entities that recognize their full
agreement with the Charter of Principles of the WSF and that expressly adhere
to it, can register delegates to the Americas Social Forum and propose self-managed
events.
Within 15 days of sending the form you will receive the confirmation of approval
of your registration.
When you register your organization, you will define a login
and password that will allow you to make modifications, or register delegates
and events.
Political parties of governmental bodies that adhere to the
Charter of Principles can register as observers, using the same registration
form for organizations.
Registration fee:
The registration fee is US$ 60 for each organization whose registration has
been accepted. Registration includes 2 delegates; each additional delegate US$
10. Information will be available shortly as to the modalities and date limit
for paying registration fees.
Registration of self-managed events: (CLOSED !)
Once the organization is registered, you can register self-managed events. The
date limit to register events is September 9th 2008. To register an event, log
on with your organizational login to the registration
site.
You can register the following types of events.
Workshop
Seminar
Exhibition
Celebration
Cultural activity
When registering each event, you should indicate which of the
themes or subthemes most closely corresponds to your activity. The list is an
approximation; the activity does not have to be limited to these themes. Within
each main theme you have the option of choosing "other subtheme".
We will inform you later whether other organizations have proposed
events on similar themes, and you will have the opportunity to join with them
if you consider it appropriate.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to approve the events
proposed, according to their conformity with the general criteria of the Forum
and the available space. If there are space problems, priority will be given
to events proposed by networks and coalitions.
The Forum only guarantees physical space and inclusion in the
program. The organization that proposes the event must cover the other costs,
including equipment and services required (amplification, interpretation, projectors,
etc.) In any case, we will try to offer optimal conditions, as far as the available
resources allow.
2. Registration of participants (individuals)
Interested persons
without an organizational affiliation can register and attend as participants.
They will be able to attend most events but not organize events.
Registration fee:
Individual participants will pay a minimum registration fee of US$ 5 for local
participants (Central America) and US$ 10 for international participants. (Or
more as a solidarity contribution to the Forum). The payment will be made in
the entrance of the Forum on receiving the registration badge.
